Lately I have been asked a lot about what to eat for P90X, the diet I have been following to drop the near 40 lbs that I have. Explaining it each time is a lengthy process, so I have decided to write a blog post to actually show a sample of how I have been eating.

NOTE: This is what I have done. I am not a nutritionist, and this plan is not perfect. It’s only what I have done, and it has worked for me.

 

Here are 2 of my typical daily meal plans. Pretty much every day follows something very similar to these.

 

MEAL PLAN – Day 1 (1800 cals)

8:00 – shakeology w/ 2/3 cup apple juice & whey  (368)

** 1/4 cup cubed ham

6 tbs egg white (omelet) (120)

11:00 – 4 pieces baked chicken, raw carrots (1 cup), cheese stick (312)

1:30 – 4 slices turkey lunchmeat & almonds (1oz) (270)

4:00 – ‘pure protein’ bar (180)

7:00 – chicken & veggies (350)

10:00 – protein shake 1.5 scoops w/ almond milk (250)

 

MEAL PLAN – Day 2 (1800 cals)

8:00 – shakeology w/ 2/3 cup apple juice & whey  (370)

11:00 – tuna pack, wheat bread, raw carrots (1 cup), (352)

1:30 – 4 slices turkey lunchmeat, jerky, cheese stick (240)

4:00 – ‘pure protein’ bar (180)

Recover Formula (220)

7:00 – talipia & veggies (230)

10:00 – protein shake 1.5 scoops w/ almond milk (250)

**** This plan has near perfect percentages at 50% protein, 30% carbs, 20% fat

 

MEAL PLAN – Day 3 (1900 cals)

8:00 – shakeology w/ 2/3 cup apple juice & whey  (370)

11:00 – frozen chicken patty, wheat bread, Carrots (260)

1:30 – 1 scoop whey w/ water & almonds (270)

4:00 – ‘pure protein’ bar (180)

Recover Formula (220)

7:00 – lean pork chop & veggies (290)

10:00 – protein shake 1.5 scoops w/ almond milk (250)

47% protein, 33% carbs, 20% fat

    Hey Mike

    Do you currently still follow this sample diet? Also, did you follow this diet for the whole 90 days while doing p90x?
